Choose one important page and record the starting point

Start with a page that has a clear job: explaining a service, selling a product, or answering a question. Copy its full public URL and write down what a visitor should do after reading it. Open it on a phone and desktop. Record any access problem, broken button, unclear heading or missing content before running a tool. This keeps your audit focused on the actual experience rather than a score alone.

Run the Website SEO Checker

Enter the page in our Website SEO Checker and review each observed result. The report inspects the initial HTML and HTTP response for metadata, headings, canonical information, indexing directives, images and links. Save the findings with the URL and check date. If content appears only after JavaScript runs, compare the report with your browser and your own Search Console URL Inspection result.

Make the search result describe the destination

Use the Meta Tag Checker to read the published title and description, then use the SERP Snippet Preview to draft clearer wording. For a hypothetical garden design service, a title that names the service and its location is more helpful than “Home.” Write a description of what the visitor will find. Use our Meta Tag Generator if you need copyable markup, and verify the published tags again after updating your website.

Review the reading experience

Use the Heading Checker to see the outline. Ask whether someone reading only those headings would understand the topic and next steps. With the Image Alt Text Checker, distinguish images that communicate useful information from decorative ones. Give informative images appropriate alternatives. Our Word Counter and Keyword Density Checker help you review length and repetition; use their counts to edit the writing rather than adding words just to reach a target.

Check destinations and crawl access

Run the Page Link Analyser to review anchors and internal or external destinations. Investigate a suspicious individual URL with the Redirect Checker. Test important paths with the Robots.txt Tester and compare the result with the page’s indexing directives. These answer different questions: whether a crawler can request a path, and what the page asks search engines to index. Escalate conflicting rules to the person who manages your site.

Fix, recheck, then plan promotion

Prioritize a page that fails to load, links to the wrong destination, or publishes unintended indexing instructions. Then work on unclear headings, missing metadata and confusing navigation. Repeat the same checks after the changes and keep both reports. Once the destination is ready, use our publisher marketplace to research relevant websites, compare DR and TLD filters, and prepare an anchor that accurately describes the page.
